Glücklicherweise hat die Omrikon-Welle Nepal nur schwach erwischt. Bis jetzt gab es bedeutend weniger Ansteckungen als bei uns. Das hat Nepal dazu veranlasst das Land für alle zu öffnen ohne Quarantäne-Zeit. Als nicht geimpfte Person muss man immernoch einen negativen PCR-Test vorweisen. Somit erhofft sich Nepal natürlich, dass wieder mehr Gäste kommen. Bislang befinden sich rund 20 Teams im Basislager des Everest. Von meinen Einheimischen Freunden habe ich erfahren, dass jetzt auch langsam wieder mehr Trekkings gebucht werden. Eine sehr erfreuliche Entwicklung, hoffen wir dass es so bleibt.
Für unser Wasserprojekt sieht es auch gut aus. Bislang sind wir in der Hälfte des benötigten Geldes. Wir hoffen sehr, dass es in diesem Trend weitergeht und wir bald mit den Bauarbeiten beginnen können.
Sobald die Finanzierung steht, wird Pasang nach Chheskam reisen und die Bauarbeiten kontrollieren. Wir hoffen, dass wir vor dem Monsun alles beenden können.
Sobald die Bauarbeiten in Chheskam abgeschlossen sind, werden wir Pasang wieder einmal in die Schweiz einladen. Wir freuen uns schon sehr auf seinen Besuch.
Ich werde wieder im Oktober / November nach Nepal mit einer Gruppe reisen. Ich hatte diesbezüglich schon etliche Anfragen. Und wenn die aktuelle Situation so bleibt wie es jetzt ist wird es auch klappen. Nach dem obligatorischen Besuch in Chheskam, werden wir noch ein Treikking und eine Bergbesteigung machen.

Fortunately, the Omrikon wave has only had a weak impact on Nepal. So far, there have been significantly fewer infections than in our country. This has prompted Nepal to open the country to
everyone without a quarantine period. If you are not vaccinated, you still have to show a negative PCR test. So Nepal naturally hopes that more guests will come again. So far, there are about 20
teams at the Everest base camp. I have heard from my local friends that more treks are now slowly being booked again. A very positive development, let's hope it stays that way.
Things are also looking good for our water project. So far we are in the half of the money we need. We very much hope that it will continue in this trend and that we can start the construction
work soon.
As soon as the funding is in place, Pasang will travel to Chheskam to inspect the construction work. We hope to finish everything before the monsoon.
As soon as the construction work in Chheskam is finished, we will invite Pasang to Switzerland again. We are very much looking forward to his visit.
I will travel to Nepal again in October/November with a group. I have already had several enquiries about this. And if the current situation remains as it is now, it will work out. After the
obligatory visit to Chheskam, we will do some trekking and mountain climbing.
