Unglaublich aber wahr ich habe Empfang in Chheskam. Das hätte ich nicht erwartet.
Gestern Abend sind wir hier angekommen. Wenn ich euch nun wahrheitsgetreu erzählen würde wie die Strasse war, würde euch schlecht werden. Ich sage mal soviel, der erste Teil bis Phablu war
erstaunlich gut. Besser als beim letzten Mal. Der Teil von Phablu bis Chheskam war.... Es gibt keine Worte dafür. Nur soviel, wir sind angekommen. Um drei Uhr morgens fuhren wir los um sieben Uhr
abends kamen wir an. Ziemlich müde und durchgeschüttelt. Aber wir sind angekommen.
Heute haben wir den ganzen Tag dem hoffentlich kommenden Projekt gespendet. Darum sind ja auch die zwei Ingenieure mitgenommen. Als erstes hatten wir die bestehende Quelle besucht. Dannach die
neue. Diese ist sehr sauber und das Wasser fliesst genug schnell. Dann wurde alles mit GPS ausgemessen. Wir suchten nach dem besten Weg für die Leitung. Es sollte genügend Gefälle haben und nicht
durch Land gehen, dass jemandem gehört. Gefälle ist gut, die neue Quelle ist auf 2346m und Chheskam auf 1900m. Die alte Quelle ist "nur" 200m höher und das Gefälle ist weniger steil. Nun haben
sie alles gemessen. Sie werden sobald sie wieder in Kathmandu sind alles genau auflisten und kalkulieren. Wir hoffen, dass der Preis nicht allzu hoch ist sodass wir Sponsoren finden können. Sind
wir mal gespannt. Morgen müssen die armen Ingenieure wieder mit dem Jeep zurück nach Kathmandu. Bin ich froh, dass ich nicht muss.
Ich bin unglaublich stolz was wir hier schon alles erreichen konnten. Heute wo ich die ganzen neuen Gebäude, Sportplatz, Toilette und das Familienhaus in fertig gesehen habe stockte mich kurz der
Atem. Ich bin so dankbar, dass wir das alles ermöglichen konnten. Aber ohne eure Hilfe wäre es sowieso nicht gegangen. Darum geht unser Dankeschön an euch liebe Freunde und Helfer von Swiss Hope
Sherpa. Danke dass ihr an uns glaubt und uns vertraut. Wir tun unser best möglichstes den Menschen hier zu helfen. Mit dem hoffentlich kommenden Projekt könnten wir den Menschen hier das wohl
allerwichtigste ermöglichen, sauberes Trinkwasser.
Wir haben morgen ein schönes Programm. Die Schule hat etwas vorbereitet. Ich freue mich riesig. Jedesmal wenn sie etwas planen ist es so wunderbar. Ich bin immer den Tränen nahe, wenn die Kinder
singen und tanzen. Dieses mal darf/muss ich auch etwas sagen. Pashi meine Nepali Lehrerin hat zusammen mit mir etwas vorbereitet. Ich hoffe dass ich alles korrekt ausspreche. Dann werden wir die
Kleider verteilen. Ich habe wieder ganz viele Kinderkleider dabei. In den zwei Jahren hat sich einiges angesammelt. Die Swiss Helikopter Kleider werden wir auch verteilen. Es hat viele Träger
hier in Chheskam, die sich darüber freuen werden. Auch einige die uns bei den umbauten geholfen haben werden etwas bekommen. Ich freue mich sehr auf den morgigen Tag.

Unbelievable but true I have reception in Chheskam. I would not have expected that.
We arrived here last night. If I were to tell you truthfully what the road was like, it would make you sick. I'll say this much, the first part to Phablu was surprisingly good. Better than last
time. The part from Phablu to Chheskam was.... There are no words for it. Only this much, we arrived. We left at three in the morning and arrived at seven in the evening. Quite tired and shaken.
But we have arrived.
Today we donated the whole day to the hopefully upcoming project. That's why we took the two engineers with us. First we visited the existing spring. Then we visited the new one. It is very clean
and the water flows fast enough. Then we measured everything with GPS. We looked for the best way for the pipe. It should have enough gradient and not go through land that belongs to someone.
Slope is good, the new spring is at 2346m and Chheskam at 1900m. The old spring is "only" 200m higher and the gradient is less steep. Now they have measured everything. As soon as they are back
in Kathmandu they will list and calculate everything exactly. We hope that the price is not too high so that we can find sponsors. We are curious. Tomorrow the poor engineers have to go back to
Kathmandu by jeep. I'm glad I don't have to.
I am incredibly proud of what we have already achieved here. Today, when I saw all the new buildings, the sports field, the toilet and the family house finished, my breath caught in my throat for
a moment. I am so grateful that we could make all this possible. But without your help it would not have been possible anyway. Therefore, our thanks go to you dear friends and helpers of Swiss
Hope Sherpa. Thank you for believing in us and trusting us. We are doing our best to help the people here. With the hopefully coming project we could make the most important thing possible for
the people here, clean drinking water.
We have a nice programme tomorrow. The school has prepared something. I am really looking forward to it. Every time they plan something it is so wonderful. I am always close to tears when the
children sing and dance. This time I can/must also say something. Pashi, my Nepali teacher, has prepared something with me. I hope that I pronounce everything correctly. Then we will distribute
the clothes. I have lots of children's clothes with me again. I have accumulated quite a lot in the last two years. We will also distribute the Swiss Helicopter clothes. There are many porters
here in Chheskam who will be happy to receive them. Some of the people who helped us with the renovations will also get something. I am very much looking forward to tomorrow.
