Heute war der letzte Tag des Lichter Festes. Da werden alle Häuser schön geschmückt und am Abend werden Lichter angezündet. Sie möchten dass die Göttin Laxmi in ihr Haus kommt, darum ist es wichtig sich mit der Beleuchtung und Dekoration viel Mühe zu geben. Mein Hotel wurde auch sehr schön Beleuchtet...
Und genau wegen diesem Fest, hat unser Ingenieur nicht gearbeitet. Heisst für uns, dass wir die Antwort erst morgen bekommen wann wir nach Chheskam fahren werden.
Bevor ich nach Nepal kam hatte Pasang viel Arbeit. Wir haben entschieden, unsere Organisation hier in Nepal anzumelden um mehr professionell zu wirken. Mit der Anmeldung wird es uns in Zukunft einfacher sein, Baubewilligungen zu bekommen. Was in Bezug auf das nächste Projekt sehr wichtig ist. Aber das ist hier in Nepal gar nicht so einfach. Viele Stunden hat Pasang bei den Behörden verbracht. Immer wieder wurde er von einer zu der anderen geschickt. Er brauchte wirklich sehr viel Geduld. Dann kam das nächste Problem. Unser bisherige Name Swiss Hope Sherpa dürfen wir nicht benutzen. Der Name der Organisation darf sich nicht nur auf eine Kulturgruppe beziehen. Und darf auch nicht ein Name eines anderen Landes beinhalten. Gut, was machen wir? Nach langem hin und her haben wir beschlossen, nur den Namen in Nepal zu ändern. Also heissen wir hier in Nepal jetzt:
Himalayan Dream Foundation
Ganz glücklich bin ich nicht darüber, dass wir den Namen ändern mussten. Aber Regeln sind nun mal Regeln.

Today was the last day of the Festival of Lights. All houses are beautifully decorated and lights are lit in the evening. They want the goddess Laxmi to come to their house, so it is important to

Before I came to Nepal, Pasang had a lot of work. We decided to register our organisation here in Nepal to look more professional. With the registration it will be easier for us to get building
permits in the future. Which is very important for the next project. But that is not so easy here in Nepal. Pasang spent many hours with the authorities. Again and again he was sent from one to
the other. He really needed a lot of patience. Then came the next problem. We are not allowed to use our previous name Swiss Hope Sherpa. The name of the organisation must not refer to only one
cultural group. And it must not include a name of another country either. So what do we do? After a lot of back and forth, we decided to just change the name to Nepal. So here in Nepal we are now
called:
Himalayan Dream Foundation
I am not entirely happy that we had to change the name. But rules are rules.
