Es ist unglaublich aber wahr. Nach nur neun Tagen ist das neue WC der Schule in Chheskam bereits fertig. Die Einheimischen vor Ort sind wirklich unglaublich. Sie haben innert neun Tagen das alte WC abgebrochen und das neue WC aufgebaut. Es hat sogar einen Ablauf, dass wir es zu einem späteren Moment an der geplanten Wasserversorgung anschliessen können.
Nun kann Nepal mit der Trekkingsaison starten. Nepal ist offen. :) Das ganze Land freut sich sehr, endlich wieder Touristen begrüssen zu dürfen. Für geimpfte sogar ohne Quarantäne. Nach rund zwei Jahren können sie nun endlich wieder hoffen. Können sie endlich wieder etwas Geld verdienen.
Ich bin auch am planen. Ich werde den ganzen November in Nepal sein. Ich habe sehr viele Kleiderspenden in den zwei Jahren gesammelt, wo ich nicht nach Nepal konnte. Nun kann ich endlich alles mitnehmen. Es wird wohl einiges an Übergewicht sein. Unter anderem habe ich eine grossartige Kleiderspende der Swiss Helikopter Firma, die sich neu ausgestattet haben und die "alten Jacken und Hosen" nicht mehr brauchen können. Diese werde ich dann in Lukla unter den Trägern verteilen. Alle anderen Kleider kommen mit nach Chheskam. Ich freue mich sehr zurück nach Nepal zu fliegen in das Dorf Chheskam zu reisen. Denn in den zwei Jahren hat sich so viel verändert. Kaum kann ich es erwarten....

It is unbelievable but true. After only nine days, the new toilet at the school in Chheskam is already finished. The local people are really incredible. Within nine days they have demolished the
old WC and built the new one. It even has a drain so that we can connect it to the planned water supply at a later date.
Now Nepal can start with the trekking season. Nepal is open. :) The whole country is very happy to finally welcome tourists again. For vaccinated ones even without quarantine. After about two
years they can finally hope again. Can they finally earn some money again.
I am also planning. I will be in Nepal the whole month of November. I have collected a lot of clothing donations in the two years I could not go to Nepal. Now I can finally take it all with me.
There will probably be quite a bit of excess weight. Among other things, I have a great donation of clothes from the Swiss Helicopter company, who have re-equipped themselves and can no longer
use the "old jackets and pants". I will distribute these among the porters in Lukla. All other clothes will go with me to Chheskam. I am very happy to fly back to Nepal and to travel to the
village of Chheskam. Because so much has changed in the two years. I can hardly wait....
