Ab nächsten Samstag dürfen endlich Touristen nach Nepal einreisen. Dies aber nur, wenn sie einen gültigen Covid-19 negativ Test vorweisen können. Für Nepal ist dies einen kleinen Hoffnungsschimmer. Doch werden auch Touristen kommen?
In Nepal gibt es Stand heute 35'915 aktive Fälle von Corona bei einer Einwohnerzahl von 29.7 Mio. Die meisten Fälle sind aus dem Flachland an der Grenze zu Indien gemeldet. Nach den Steigerungen bis Juni waren die Zahlen im Juli rückläufig. Seit anfangs August sind die Zahlen wieder ansteigend.
Pasang und ich haben beschlossen für die Schüler in Chheskam eine neue Schul-Uniform zu organisieren. Einen Schul-Trainer haben sie bereits von uns.
Wir sind immer noch in Abklärung wo wir den neuen Schul-Spielplatz bauen werden. Zur Zeit haben wir noch keinen Zuspruch für das Land.
Pasang wird sich in den nächsten Tagen auf den Weg nach Chheskam machen. Er wird unser nun fertiggestelltes neues Gebäude die Schul-Bibliothek abnehmen. Ich bin schon sehr auf die Bilder gespannt.
Er wird vor Ort mit dem Schulleiter besprechen, wieviele Computer und Bücher sie brauchen werden. Sobald dann die Computer eintreffen, werden wir Bibas in einen Computerkurs nach Sotag schicken, dass er genau lernt, wie er den Umgang mit dem Computer den Schülern beibringen kann.
Ich würde auch gerne wieder nach Nepal reisen. Doch wenn meine nächste Reise sein wird, steht in den Sternen. Vielleicht im Frühjahr, je nach Situation. Ich weiss dass ich mit Pasang einen guten Partner vor Ort habe und ich mir keine Sorgen machen muss. Es ist mehr die Sehnsucht und die wunderbaren Menschen von Chheskam, die mich wieder nach Nepal ziehen.

Pasang and I have decided to organize a new school uniform for the students in Chheskam. They already have a school trainer from us.
We are still in the process of clarifying where we will build the new school playground. At the moment we have no approval for the country.
Pasang will be on his way to Chheskam in the next few days. He will take over our now completed new building, the school library. I'm really looking forward to the pictures.
He will discuss with the headmaster how many computers and books they will need. As soon as the computers arrive, we will send Bibas to a computer course in Sotag so that he learns exactly how to
teach the students how to use the computer.
I would also like to travel to Nepal again. But when my next trip will be, it is written in the stars. Maybe in spring, depending on the situation. I know that I have a good local partner in
Pasang and that I don't have to worry. It is more the longing and the wonderful people of Chheskam that draw me back to Nepal.
