Die Schüler in Bergün hatten im Religionsunterricht, das Thema "teilen". Mit gebastelten Instrumenten und Zeichnungen von den Schülern, reiste ich nach Nepal um eis im Wohnheim Kapan in Kathmandu ab zu geben. Als Gegenzug hatte ich Zeichnungen für die Bergüner im Gepäck. Gestern war dann die Übergabe. Fast alle Schüler inklusive Elternteil, hatten sich an dem eigentlich freien Samstag im Schulzimmer versammelt. Ich erzählte ihnen kurz mit Bildern, was ich alles in Nepal alles gemacht habe. Dann sahen sie, wie die Kinder in Nepal auf ihre Geschenke reagiert haben. Nach dem kurzen Vortrag, überreichte ich den Bergünern die Zeichnungen aus Nepal. Sie freuten sich sehr, dass ihr Gruss erwidert wurde. Die Zeichnungen, die teilweise auch Basteleien beinhalteten, freuten die Kinder sehr. Für die Kinder war oder ist das Thema "teilen" fassbar geworden. Sie konnten live miterleben wie es ist, etwas mit jemandem zu teilen. Das es Länderübergreifend ist, macht das ganze für die Kinder noch spezieller.
Für mich war es sehr schön zu sehen, wie die Kinder beider Länder auf die Geschenke reagierten. Um das geht es doch schlussendlich; wenn man teilt wird man selber glücklich.
Was ich interessant finde und was ich gerne noch erwähnen möchte, dass die Kinder beider Länder sehr ähnlich zeichnen. Die Häuser und die Bäume sehen identisch aus. Wenn ich die Bilder nebeneinander legte, konnte ich nicht sagen, ob es aus der Schweiz oder aus Nepal stammt. Sehr spannend.
Ein geglücktes weiteres Projekt. :)

The students in Bergün had the topic "share" in religious education. With crafted instruments and drawings from the students, I traveled to Nepal to drop off everything at the Kapan dorm in Kathmandu. In return, I had drawings for the Bergüner students in my luggage. Yesterday was the handover. Almost all the students, including the parent, had gathered in the schoolroom on the actually free Saturday. I briefly told them with pictures what I did everything in Nepal. Then they saw how the children in Nepal reacted to their gifts. After the short lecture, I handed over the drawings from Nepal to the Bergüner students. They were very happy that their greeting was reciprocated. The drawings, some of which also included handicrafts, pleased the children very much. For the children the topic "sharing" was or is comprehensible. They were able to experience live what it's like to share something with someone. The fact that it is cross-national makes it even more special for the children.
For me, it was very nice to see how the children of both countries responded to the gifts. That's what it's all about; if you share you will be happy yourself.
What I find interesting and what I would like to mention is that the children of both countries draw very similar. The houses and the trees look identical. If I put the pictures next to each other, I could not say if it came from Switzerland or Nepal. Very exciting.
