    Lukla

    ich wurde von der Familie von Pasang in Lukla sehr herzlich willkommen geheissen. Sie wohnen in einem kleinen Haus nahe des Flughafens. Ich darf nun die 2 nächsten Nächte bei ihnen übernachten.

     

    Auf Lukla habe ich mich sehr gefreut. Seit 2012 bin ich nicht mehr hier gewesen. Das bunte Treiben auf der Hauptstrasse, hat mich fasziniert. Und noch immer herrscht ein buntes Durcheinander.

     

    Ich habe auch unseren Guide von 2012, Pemba Sherpa, getroffen. Es hat mich sehr gefreut, dass er Zeit für mich hatte.

     

    Per Zufall habe ich auch den Helikopter-Pilot, Maurizio Follini, wieder in Lukla getroffen. Wir waren bereits in Kathmandu im Selben Hotel.

     

    So ist Lukla. Man trifft «alte» Bekannte wieder. Ich kann mich erinnern, dass wir nach unserem Trekking von 2012, viele von Unterwegs wieder getroffen haben. Gut, was auch nicht schwierig ist, weil es eine zentrale Hauptstrasse hat. Aber trotzdem freut man sich über jedes Bekannte Gesicht.

     

    Mit der Familie von Pasang durfte ich am Vorabend Momo’s machen. Da meine nicht so schön waren wie ihre, nannten wir sie «Swiss Momo’s». Heute Abend geniessen wir ein traditionelles Dal Bhat. Die Schwägerin von Pasang isst auch mit uns. In der Sherpa Kultur ist es üblich, viele am Tisch zu begrüssen.

     

    Am 21.05.2017 werde ich dann von dem berühmten Flughafen Lukla nach Kathmandu fliegen. Ich bin schon sehr gespannt, und freue mich auf diese spannende Reise.

     

    Noch bis zum 26. Mai bin ich hier in Kathmandu. Und es gibt noch vieles zu erledigen. Unser 1. Projekt kann diese Woche die Bauarbeiten beenden. Ich bin schon sehr auf das Resultat gespannt. Beim 2. Projekt werde ich noch diese Woche das Geld überweisen, sodass auch sie bald mit dem Umbau starten können.

     

    Ich bin mit unserer Arbeit hier in Nepal sehr zufrieden. Ich danke Pasang, für seine guten Recherchen. Er hat eine gute Vorarbeit geleistet. Es hat sich schnell gezeigt, dass unsere Arbeit hier, keine einmalige Sache ist. Wir werden weiterhin versuchen, in unsere Projekte zu investieren. Es gibt noch vieles, dass wir erreichen könnten. Es wird sich zeigen, was die Zukunft bringt.

    I was very warmly welcomed by the family of Pasang in Lukla.  They live in a small house near the airport. I can now spend the next two nights with them.

     

    In Lukla I was very happy. I had not been there since 2012. The busy construction work on the main street fascinated me.  And there is still a big mess on the street.

     

    I also met our 2012 guide, Pemba Sherpa. I was very happy that he had time for me.

     

    Coincidentally, I also met the helicopter pilot, Maurizio Follini, again in Lukla. We have been in Kathmandu at the same hotel.

     

    This is Lukla. You meet "old" acquaintances. I can remember how it was after our trek of 2012, we met many of the trekkers again. This not difficult because it has just one central main road. But anyway, one is glad to see every familiar face.

     

     

    I was also able to go with the Pasang family on the eve of Momo. Mine where not as beautiful as theirs, we called them "Swiss Momo's". This evening we will enjoy a traditional Dal Bhat. The sister-in-law of Pasang also eats with us. In the Sherpa culture, it is common to welcome many at the table.

     

    At 21.05.2017 I will fly from the famous Lukla Airport to Kathmandu. I am very excited, and am looking forward to this exciting trip.

     

     

    I am here in Kathmandu until 26th May. And there is still much to be done. Our first project will finish construction work this week. I am looking forward to the result.  For the second project, I will transfer the money this week, so that they can start the construction soon.

     

     

    I am very satisfied with our work here in Nepal.  I thank Pasang, for his good research. He did a good job. It quickly became apparent that our work here is not a one-time thing. We will continue to invest in our projects. There is still much that we could achieve. We will see what the future holds.
